How We Use Google User Data
Google Ads Guys manages Google Search Ads for small businesses. To do this on your behalf, we ask your permission through Google OAuth to access your Google Ads account using the Google Ads API. This page explains exactly what we request, why, and how we handle the data.

The connection flow
You are always in control. Access is granted through Google's own consent screen and can be revoked at any time.
You start the connection
From your onboarding or client dashboard on thegaguys.com.au, you choose to connect your Google Ads account.
Google asks your permission
You are sent to Google's own consent screen, where you sign in and review exactly which permissions Google Ads Guys is requesting. You can decline at any point.
You grant access
If you approve, Google returns a secure authorisation to us. We never see your Google password, and access is limited to the scopes you approved.
We manage your account
We link your Google Ads account to our manager account and begin the management work you signed up for, reporting on performance and applying changes you have approved.
Permissions we request and why
We request the narrowest set of scopes needed to run the service. Each scope below maps to a specific, necessary function.
openidConfirms the identity of the Google account being connected so the correct account is linked to the correct client.
email (userinfo.email)Reads the email address of the connected Google account so we can match it to your Google Ads Guys client record and confirm which account granted access.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwordsLets us manage the Google Ads account you authorise on your behalf: reading campaign, keyword, search term, and performance data to report on results and decide optimisations, and making changes you have approved (such as adding keywords, adjusting budgets, or pausing underperforming terms).
How we use the data
- We access Google user data only to operate the Google Ads management service you have signed up for.
- We read campaign, keyword, search term, and performance data to report results and decide optimisations.
- We make changes you have approved, such as adding keywords, adjusting budgets, or pausing underperforming terms.
- We store only the minimum data needed to run the service, and secure it in access-controlled systems.
What we never do
- We do not sell your Google user data to anyone.
- We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
- We do not use it for advertising unrelated to managing your account.
- We do not use it to train generalised or standalone AI or machine learning models.
- We do not let humans read your data except where you allow it, for security, to comply with the law, or as needed to operate and support the service.
Limited Use commitment
Google Ads Guys' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and security
Access tokens and account data are stored in access-controlled systems and used only to operate the service. We keep the minimum data required and restrict who can access it.
Retention and deletion
We retain Google user data only for as long as we manage your account. When you cancel, or on request, we remove our manager access and delete the Google user data we hold, unless we are required to keep limited records to comply with the law.
Revoking access
You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by contacting us. You may also ask us to delete the data we hold.
